FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:Toronto, ON (Canada) AUGUST 24TH, 2010 - On Friday September 17, 2010 for the first time EVER, Jester will be uniting his fellow Smash Squad DJs (Wristpect, Starting From Scratch and international icon Clinton Sparks) to join his longtime friends D' Bandit, DJ Soca Sweetness and Kid Kut to "smash" the Solarium nightclub (Sound Academy Complex, 11 Polson Street) for Jester's annual birthday bash. The streets of Toronto are already buzzing about this action-packed red carpet event which is fittingly titled "LRG Clothing Presents GET SMASHED: A Celebration of Birth, Life & Success". In addition to being one of the most talked-about events in Toronto nightlife history thanks to its star studded lineup, the event also contributes to a good cause as part of the proceeds go the The Breast Cancer Society Of Canada.
Besides celebrating Jester's birthday, Get Smashed also plays host to the birthday celebrations of Joanne Marcano (Jester's manager, founder/CEO of The Marcano Management Group and Get Smashed Event Producer) and Clinton Sparks (world famous radio and club DJ, E! Channel correspondent, chart-topping international producer and recently signed Interscope recording artist).
Jester (AKA "North America's Most Versatile DJ") has been having an annual birthday bash for years, but in 2010 the Toronto-based New Flow 93.5FM mixshow DJ, upcoming music producer and four-time Stylus DJ Award winner decided to take it to a whole new level, with Get Smashed - a party of unprecedented proportions.
"Everybody does birthday parties and I have done one every year but this year I felt I needed to do something different" says Jester. "I wanted to showcase my Smash Squad brothers and give to a worthy cause at the same time. A cause that affects so many people all around the world and one that personally means a lot to me. That's why we coined it 'A Celebration of Birth, Life and Success'."
Fans can look forward to an unforgettable event, amazing ambiance and an evening of great music with all four members of the world renowned Smash Squad setting the turntables on fire throughout the night. With Jester and his Smash Squad brothers Wristpect, Starting From Scratch and Clinton Sparks "smashing" Hip Hop, R&B, Electro, Pop and various other musical genres all night long, a true music fan couldn't possibly ask for much more... but there is indeed much more in store, as Jester and the Get Smashed team have many additional "birthday gifts" up their proverbial sleeve.
